Next year marks the 45th anniversary of the release of The Harder they Come, famously starring reggae sensation Jimmy Cliff.
The seminal 1972 Jamaican crime film directed by Perry Henzell was co-written by Trevor D. Rhone. It is widely famous for its legendary reggae soundtrack and is hailed as having 'brought reggae to the world'.
As well as being enormously successful in Jamaica, the film reached the international market and has since been described on numerous occasions as the most influential film to ever have been produced in the Caribbean.
Hydro Studios will be managing the campaign and events surrounding the anniversary release and Universal Music Group will handle the rerelease of the film's legendary soundtrack.
We aim to create a "throwback" experience for the audience to mark this special occasion by providing themed outdoor screenings with live music, food vendors and a festival style atmosphere in over 20 cities.
The scheduled release for the film is April 2018.
