The film's unique approach to this emotional topic required a robust campaign to maintain its vitality and spirit, without the message getting lost. Distribution and marketing of this award-winning film in theaters across the country required a custom website to enhance the attention grabbing digital and print marketing materials featuring top billed cast like Cloris Leachman, Horatio Sanz, and LaurenBowels, to name a few. Video promotional trailers supported the digital assets in our engaging social media campaigns that encouraged conversation on trending gun news while also keeping a finger on the pulse of the 2016 presidential election. Stepping further outside the “box” office we set up a “roadshow” screening tour featuring town hall conversations with the director of the film addressing gun control issue and developed educational Q & A’s on gun-control and safety.
Our approach resulted in a wildly successful national theatrical run, an extremely engaged community, and a strong connection with grassroots organizations. Political leaders like Khary Penebaker also opened the doors to deep connection with their campaigns and supporters.
