We work with the Topanga Film Institute & Festival to create awareness of the organization and promote their slate of award-winning films and events.
The Topanga Film Festival is now in its 13th year. Our creative director, Urs Baur, and his wife Sara Harding Baur, hosted the first festival in their back yard. The festival has been held every year since and in 2011 expanded to also include the Topanga Film Institute. While growing in success, popularity and critical acclaim over the years, the festival has always managed to keep the intimate, boutique feel that originated in the Baur's backyard.
Over the years, the festivsal expanded its program to more than just traditional film; last year hosting some of the newest and most progressive VR pieces in the industry.
By hosting regularly scheduled hosted talks, workshops and courses on immersive storytelling and filmmaking, the Institute has grown even further and now includes an in-house think-tank called CoLab.
The CoLAB is a creative co-working space for creators, thinkers, and storytellers. It provides an environment to collaborate, learn, develop, and above all, create.
Both the TFI & CoLAB live in the reimagined space of Topanga’s former elementary school building and like the rest of the small art town, it sticks to its roots—innovation through connection.
Urs Baur still chairs the board of directors for the TFI, a 501[c]3 non profit organization, and looks to Hydro Studios to handle and support all branding and communications efforts for TFI, TFF and CoLAB as well as partner on strategic collaborations and production.
