Car Dogs premieres in Phoenix with hot dogs, giant heads and more.
Car Dogs premiered on March 20th at the Harkins Camelview Theaters in Scottsdale, AZ, where two large screening rooms were filled with fans, stars and the large crew from ASU. After making sure movie-goers were sufficiently stocked with soda and popcorn, director Adam Collis and Car Dogs stars Alessandra Torresani, Cory Hardrict, Josh Hopkins, Joe Massingill, Chris Mulkey and Dash Mihok introduced the film.
Filmed in the Scottsdale-Phoenix area, Car Dogs was written by Scottsdale native Mark Edward King and directed by Adam Collis, Executive Director at Arizona State University Film Spark. The film embodies the local culture and community; that energy was carried into the after-party where the ASU film students, who interned on set, guided fans to the Mercedes-Benz of Scottsdale. Each student dressed up as one of the films’ stars complete with 3-foot big-head "masks". The fan highlight of the after-party was the old-fashioned hot-dog cart, a tribute to a scene in the film.
